Fred helped pass the Davidson County Scholarship Fund to attract new teachers to our schools Fred organized the Davidson County "Towers" Committee for communication/cell towers. He saved the county tens of thousands of dollars in litigation costs. Fred initiated North Carolina's FIRST program to allow taxpayers to make Property Tax payments via the internet.
Fred is saving the county $20,000 per month through his initiatives to upgrade the information technology used by the county. Fred has brought $1,090,000 to Davidson County that has resulted in the Davidson Day Reporting Center. Fred served as liaison to the Davidson County Board of Education. The result: a plan to build 5 new schools in Davidson County
Fred helped save Davidson County citizens $400,000 by supporting a public/private partnership to build the County's state-of-the-art animal shelter. Fred brought $147,000 to Davidson County for an alternative fueling station and for vehicles equipped to use alternative fuels. As a Board member of the Piedmont Triad Government Council, Fred was able to secure funding for Senior Centers in both Lexington and Thomasville.
